Résumé
Beatrice Pesquet-Popescu is Group Innovation Director of ALTEN, where she defines and implements the scientific roadmap of the R&D activities of the Innovation Direction, establishes academic and business partnerships in relation with corporate strategy. She was previously Research and Innovation Director at Thales LAS SRA, where she contributed to the definition of the new products and services of surface radars. As Research and Innovation Director in Thales LAS AMS (Air Mobility Solutions, formerly Air Traffic Management, ATM), she defined, implemented and managed research and innovation plans in line with the 4 pillar technologies of the group: Big Data, AI, cybersecurity, IoT. She supported disruptive technology projects and was involved in innovative safety activities across the business line and in relation with the internal and external (universities, SMEs, ...) ecosystem. She is also a scientific internationally recognized leader in the field of machine learning, AI and multimedia (video compression, 3DTV, networking), statistical signal and image processing, data modeling, convex optimization, big data. Ability to transform knowledge in innovation (patents, industrial projects). She has participated to the definition of strategic research orientations in the multimedia field at international, European and national level (through different boards, technical committees, working groups). Capacity of quick adaptation and efficient negociation in multicultural environements. Successful bidding, project and budget management. Leadership in complex organizations (group leader at TPT, scientific director of a common lab between IMT and Alcatel Lucent-Bell Labs, international conference organization, collaborative projects with industrial partners). Knowledge of the startup environement: capacity to obtain results in a dynamic environement, engaging the team for quick product/service design and adaptation with limited resources, with an agile methodology. Curious, dynamic, with excellent relational skills, and I have great interest for business development and strategy. Proven ability to build and strengthen relationships and synergy across industry and customers to drive positive change.
