Conference at ENS: “Books to spark debate – Women and Work.”
The MSH Paris-Saclay is pleased to invite you to the conference on May 6 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at ENS: “Books to spark debate – Women and Work.”
A discussion featuring:
Maud Simonet, CNRS research director, labor sociologist, IDHES Nanterre
Clotilde Coron, university professor in management sciences, Université Paris-Saclay
Through the presentation of the books L’imposture du travail. Désandrocentrer le travail pour l’émanciper by Maud Simonet (10-18, 2024) and Stéréotypes de genre et inégalités professionnelles entre femmes et hommes. Quelles responsabilités pour les organisations ? by Clotilde Coron (Éditions EMS, 2023), come and discuss the place of work in our society.
This event offers two perspectives on the multiple challenges of equality.
Maud Simonet questions what feminist analyses contribute “to current scientific and political debates on work and its values, on exploitation and emancipation.”
Clotilde Coron deciphers the impact of gender stereotypes on professional inequalities, as well as human resources management practices that may foster or hinder equality.
In connection with this event, come and discover the original exhibition by illustrator Catel, “Do jobs have a gender?” in the atrium of ENS Paris-Saclay.
Location: École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, Room 1Z56, 4 avenue des Sciences, 91190 Gif-sur-Yvette
