Paris-Saclay SPRING 2025: when normaliennes startups represent innovation
On May 20, ENS Paris-Saclay welcomed several affiliated startups founded by alumni, on the occasion of Paris-Saclay SPRING 2025, the major annual innovation event on the Saclay plateau.
This day was an opportunity to highlight the entrepreneurial, scientific, and bold spirit of ENS Paris-Saclay alumni, through deeptech projects (artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, digital sovereignty)...
Among the participants, Victor Parpoil, CEO of Allohouston (class of 2008, mechanical engineering), emphasized the importance of these exchanges:
"Great day spent at the ENS Paris-Saclay booth. It’s the annual innovation meetup, a mix of deeptech, tech transfer, and inspiring — sometimes unexpected — encounters. Thanks for the invitation: it’s always a pleasure to get updates from the School, meet other entrepreneurs from the ENS community, and share my experience."
Nicolas Mahler, CEO of Datapred (class of 2012, mathematics), shared this pride:
"It’s a real pride to represent ENS Paris-Saclay, an institution of excellence focused on innovation and today’s major challenges. That’s exactly the mindset we bring to our clients every day."
William Famy, cofounder of Ovochain (class of 1994, mechanical engineering), also praised this opportunity:
"Proud to be at the ENS Paris-Saclay booth. We presented our deeptech project Trust Place, with concrete use cases. Thank you for this great moment of sharing."
This edition confirmed the vitality of the ENS alumni network and its members’ ability to engage actively in the major transformations of our society.
The club of affiliated startups or those created at the School
Today, 94 startups have been created by graduates from all teaching and research departments, or by researchers from the School’s laboratories. To support this dynamic and encourage synergy, the School launched in May 2022 the Club of Affiliated Startups, with three objectives:
highlight scientific, technological, or educational innovations driven by ENS Paris-Saclay startups;
facilitate exchanges with faculty members and students;
strengthen ties between academia and industry, particularly within the Paris-Saclay cluster.
