About the team
Lazard’s Sovereign Advisory team, based in Paris, is the historical and leading player in the market for macroeconomic and financial advisory to governments and public institutions.
For over 40 years, our team, composed of macroeconomists and capital markets specialists, has brought its experience and expertise to sovereign and supranational clients around the world.
In recent months, the Sovereign Advisory team has acted as exclusive financial advisor to the governments of Sri Lanka, Ghana, Zambia, Lebanon, Ethiopia, and Suriname in the restructuring of their sovereign debt, further consolidating its market-leading position.
The team has also participated in some of the most significant restructurings of recent decades, notably in Argentina, Ukraine, Greece, Kazakhstan, Croatia, and Ecuador.
We also advise many countries, supranational entities, and state-owned enterprises in the definition and implementation of their financial policies.
