WHY JOIN THE ASSOCIATION?
- Defend the quality of being a former student, the reputation, and the attractiveness of the Schools
- Participate in events aimed at fostering the maintenance of friendships formed during the training in the Schools and creating opportunities for networking
- Build new connections with alumni from all Écoles Normales Supérieures, invited within the framework of the Club ENS Alumni
- Access online resources, especially the alumni directory
- Actively contribute to the development and defense of the Écoles Normales Supérieures of Paris-Saclay (formerly Cachan) and Rennes, and, in the broadest sense, to the technological spirit in all scientific and general disciplines.
WHO CAN CONTRIBUTE?
People falling into one of the following categories can join the association:
- Students and alumni admitted as normaliens to one of the Sections Normales, E.N.S.E.T., E.N.S. de Cachan or Paris-Saclay, and E.N.S de Rennes
- Students and alumni admitted as normaliens to other E.N.S. (member status of the "Club ENS Alumni")
- Non-normalien students from E.N.S. (member status of the "Club ENS Alumni")
- Holders of a Ph.D. from E.N.S. de Cachan or Paris-Saclay or E.N.S. de Rennes
- Holders of a Ph.D. from other E.N.S. (member status of the "Club ENS Alumni")
- Boarders or former boarders of E.N.S de Cachan
- Professors from E.N.S. Paris-Saclay, Cachan or Rennes, or from other E.N.S. (member status of the "Club ENS Alumni")

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There are two categories of annual membership fees valid for each calendar year (modification of the amount of contributions applicable in 2016):
- Normal rate: 50 euros per person (16.5 euros after tax deduction)
- Reduced rate: 25 euros per person (8.25 euros after tax deduction)
Young members benefit from a 50% reduction on the normal contribution for 8 years after their admission to the School, and
Couples enjoy a 25% reduction on the double normal contribution (a normal and a reduced contribution of 50%) for a single service of the Directory and bulletins, both being members and having voting rights at the general assembly. This results in a contribution of 75 euros for a couple (24.75 euros after tax deduction) payable in a single payment by one of the couple members*.
Newcomers enjoy free membership services from September to the end of December.
As AAEE is a recognized association of public utility, your contribution is partially deductible from your income tax (resulting in an actual contribution of 16.5 euros for the normal rate and 8.25 euros for the reduced rate).

*If you cannot access the selection of a couple's contribution, it means your spouse within the network is not declared. The spouse must be declared to the association through the contact form.
